The British Journal, Regulatory Rapporteur” published a research for the College of Pharmacy members, The assistant lecturer Mr Radhwan Al-Zidan, the assistant lecturer Saad Mohammed and Dr Hassan sa ‘ad.
The research entitled:
Insights on the newly implemented US Pregnancy and Lactation Labelling Rule (PLLR)”. It has addressed recent changes endorsed by the American food and drug organization (FDA) in terms of classification of drugs during pregnancy and Lactation which in turn eliminated the old classification of drugs during pregnancy and lactation. It is noteworthy that the older classification has been used over the last four decades in most countries around the world, including Iraq. The study also looked at the expected impact of PLLR law’s application on doctors’ decisions to use medicines during pregnancy and lactation, and the need to inform the healthcare professionals regarding the recent changes brought about by PLLR law.https://www.topra.org/TOPRA/TOPRA_Member/REGRAP/Public/Regulatory_Rapporteur_Issue_Detail_Public.aspx?IssueID=524051&ID=57221
