University Health Center Organizes Breast Cancer Awareness Session at the College of Pharmacy
On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October) and under the slogan “A Touch of Creativity, A Touch that Saves,” the University Health Center—in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul—organized an educational lecture as part of a series of activities by the Breast and Early Detection Unit.
The lecture addressed the most critical aspects of breast cancer, including:
* Preventive Measures: Strategies to maintain breast health and reduce risks.
* Breast Self-Examination (BSE): Detailed methods and techniques for self-screening.
* Risk Factors: Identifying the primary factors that contribute to the onset of the disease.
The session was delivered by Senior Specialist Dr. Fanar Fadel Khalil, who emphasized that self-examination and early detection are the most effective tools for prevention and reducing complications.
This initiative is part of the center’s ongoing efforts to raise health awareness and promote a culture of prevention and early screening, contributing to the overall health and well-being of women in the community.
