College of Pharmacy

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhry Mustafa, the College of Pharmacy hosted a scientific workshop titled “Mechanisms of Scientific Publishing and Indexing in Global Databases (Scopus & Web of Science)” on Wednesday morning, November 5, 2025.
The workshop was presented by Lecturer Nora Raad Nashaat, representing the Electronic Computer Center at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the College’s Scientific Affairs Division. The session focused on the core mechanisms of publishing within international databases, the requirements for indexing research in high-impact journals, and the significant role of these efforts in elevating the university’s global academic and research rankings.
The event saw extensive participation from faculty members and postgraduate students. It featured rich scientific discussions regarding the criteria for selecting accredited journals, common pitfalls in the publishing process, and strategies to enhance research quality. These initiatives align with the University of Mosul’s strategic direction to foster a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in higher education.
