College of Pharmacy Implements “Madrasati” Initiative: Bridging Academic Excellence with Social Responsibility

In accordance with the directives of His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and within the framework of the Ministry’s “Madrasati” (My School) initiative, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul conducted a community outreach mission to Al-Tali’a First School for Girls on Monday, October 20, 2025.
The mission was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the direct supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhry Mustafa. Executed by the Voluntary Work Unit of the Student Activities Division, the campaign saw active engagement from faculty, administrative staff, and student volunteers. The initiative included the distribution of gifts to orphaned and underprivileged students—a humanitarian gesture reflecting the principles of social solidarity and institutional accountability championed by the University.
Dr. Ziad Alaa Qaddawi, Head of the Voluntary Work Division at the Nineveh Directorate of Education, commended the college’s distinguished efforts, praising the University of Mosul’s pivotal role in fostering a culture of philanthropy and community support.
This campaign is part of a strategic series of voluntary and social initiatives aimed at integrating academic life with community service. It directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by advocating for inclusive support and equitable opportunities for all students.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all contributors who ensured the success of this noble initiative, which effectively combined scientific mission with humanitarian action to build a more resilient future.
