College of Pharmacy Hosts Integrated Student Activities to Boost English Proficiency and Sustainability Awareness

As part of its Continuing Education programs and in collaboration with the Postgraduate Affairs Division and the Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul, the College of Pharmacy organized two specialized student-led activities for Master’s students in the Departments of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics.
The events, held on Thursday morning, December 4, 2025, in the college courtyard, featured two thematic sessions:
* “Pharmacy for the Planet: Mastering Medication”
* “Diploma Candidates’ Insight: The RX from the Wild”
The activities were inaugurated by Assistant Professor Dr. Hani Muhaidi Mohammed, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, and were organized by Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Fadel Ismail from the College of Arts, in coordination with the pharmacy postgraduate students.
Core Objectives:
* Academic Communication: Enhancing the ability of Master’s students to utilize English in scientific discussions and international forums.
* Environmental Stewardship: Raising research awareness regarding ecological impacts of pharmaceuticals.
* SDG Integration: Aligning pharmaceutical education with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
* SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
* SDG 4: Quality Education.
* SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
* SDG 13: Climate Action.
* SDG 14 & 15: Life Below Water and Life on Land.
