Objectives
1 Continuous improvement of the system of graduate studies, research and innovation programs.
2 Participate in studying scientific issues and keeping pace with scientific development in the pharmaceutical field.
3 Strengthening research capabilities in laboratories and research centers at the College of Pharmacy, through developing the infrastructure for research and innovation.
4 Supporting scholarship programs to meet the needs of the scientific branches in the college.
5 Attracting distinguished competencies from the faculty members and others, to raise the level of the educational and research process.
Postgraduate studies (Master’s degree)
Our college awards a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences.
Duties of the Graduate Studies Division:
The first axis: Graduate students within the Republic of Iraq
1- Preparing an admission plan to postgraduate studies at the college for the next academic year in terms of the type of study (Master’s), number of seats, and scientific specializations.
2- Sending statistics for graduate students from postgraduate studies in our college, periodically every four months, to the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Postgraduate Studies, indicating the student’s name/certificate/specialization/graduation rate / and the number and date of the university order for obtaining the certificate, mentioning the subject (thesis/dissertation).
The second axis: Following up on the affairs of postgraduate students
1- Preparing and following up on the admission plan and academic backgrounds and editing them in accordance with the requirements and instructions for postgraduate studies in order to be approved by the College Council. After approval, the admission plan would be sent to the Department of Postgraduate Studies at the Presidency of the University of Mosul and then to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to obtain the fundamental approvals to open the study before the start of application.
2- Issuing official papers for the acceptance of postgraduate students.
3- Follow up on the situations of accepted students and those continuing their studies starting from their submission to the issue of the graduate certificate.
4- Issuing the instructions and the criteria for postgraduate studies that are required by the ministry or the university.
5- Prepare statistical analysis on an ongoing basis for students in terms of (admission numbers/registration numbering/postponement of study/graduates/extension).
6- Issuing the official papers for scheduling the discussion date for graduate students.
7- Issuing the official papers for granting the certificate to graduate students (Master).
8- Supporting the validity of the issue of the official papers, whether for accepting students or granting them a certificate.
9- The introduction of new postgraduate studies (higher diploma/master/doctorate).
The third axis: Graduate Studies Committee
1- Writing the reports of the Graduate Studies Committee sessions, which are held periodically every two weeks (and whenever necessary), and ensuring that various issues are presented to the members of the Graduate Studies Committee.
2- Present the reports of the Graduate Studies Committee sessions to the Dean of the College to present them to the College Council to obtain approval for the requests and issues contained therein and to approve the session reports.
