In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education, a university order was issued promoting Dr. Omar Hashem Thannon, a lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, to the academic rank of Assistant Professor, on 3 November 2025.
