Open Chess Tournament for Political Science Students

Under the supervision of the esteemed Associate Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the Student Activities Division organized the Open Chess Championship for political science students of both genders on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in the College Library Hall. In the tournament, fourth-year student Shamar Mishal Talab secured first place, while fourth-year student Bandar Ibrahim Muhammad achieved second place. The significance of these activities lies in their alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
