Doctoral thesis in the private law branch on the legal protection of others in the joint-stock company / comparative study,,,
On Sunday, March 17, 2023, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on the legal protection of others in a joint-stock company / a comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its faculty.
The thesis presented by researcher Keoh Hamid Saleh in the private law branch dealt with joint-stock companies, which have a distinctive role in economic development as they are an effective means of achieving economic growth and implementing huge investment projects, due to their characteristics that make them an effective economic unit capable of undertaking large projects.
The thesis aims to show that the purpose of formality in the company contract is to require that the contract be written and documented, as it is not limited to regulating the relationship between the shareholders with each other or their relationship with the company, but also includes protecting others who deal with the company, so that the founders cannot deny the existence of the company in the future or invoke a contract. Contrary to the real registered contract.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Mustafa Nateq Saleh, with the membership of Professor Dr. Medhat Saleh absent, Professor Dr. Bushra Khaled Turki, Professor Dr. Isser Essam Daoud, Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Hashim Hamdoun, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Ibrahim Ali.
