On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the legal regulation of the right to view in neighborhood relations. Part of it was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its faculty.
The thesis submitted by researcher Muhammad Khusraw Mahmoud in the private law branch dealt with the right to open views, which is one of the types of rights granted to the owner over his property. This right gives its owner many uses of his property, such as opening views, skylights, outlets, balconies, and roofs. This right is also restricted by legal restrictions imposed on the property. For the benefit of other real estate.
The message aims to explain the concept of the view, which is openings in the walls of houses, apartments, or any other building so that light and air can pass through and one can look outside without causing harm to the neighborhood.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Akram Mahmoud Hussein, with the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Nizar Hazem Muhammad, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Siddiq, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Habib Idris Issa.
