On Thursday, July 28, 2022, the Private Law Branch of the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on the impact of travel on personal status issues / a comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr.

The thesis submitted by the student Najwa Muhammad Salem dealt with the special law branch of Islamic Sharia, which came with a complete system in which the conditions of people were taken into account, and the costs were reduced for those with excuses, including the traveler. And after dissolution.

The study aims to show that the Iraqi Personal Status Law did not include a definition of travel and when the husband or wife is considered to be travelers, it did not link travel to a specific standard and was limited to referring to some of its provisions in different topics of the Personal Status Law.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hamid Sultan Ali and the membership of Prof. Dr. Sajer Nasser Hamad, Prof. Dr. Nickel Mahmoud Salloum, Prof. Dr. Qahtan Hadi Abdullah, Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Zaki Suleiman, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Khair El-Din Aziz.
