The Third International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul ,,,
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul, and the Chairman and members of the Preparatory Committee, our college held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, its third international scientific conference tagged (Law and Contemporary in Light of the Sustainable Development Goals), where the conference activities began on its first day at um Al-Rabiain Hall in the College of Basic Education By reading what is available from the Holy Quran and reading Surat Al-Fatiha on the souls of all of us, the martyrs of proud Iraq, and then playing the national anthem of the Republic of IraqThen Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty, delivered his speech, in which he welcomed the President of the University of Mosul, members of the University Council and distinguished guests of researchers, academics and those interested in legal, scientific and research affairs, indicating the importance of this conference, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to being one of the steps of the march of scientific prosperity and academic creativity of our ancient university, which is witnessing, as a result of its wise leadership, rapid scientific and academic developments, and based on the interest of The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the strategy of the University of Mosul and its interest in development with its scientific axes and societal goals, this conference came to present the participants a number of scientific research and specialized studies related to sustainable development and its role in research progress and community stability, praising also the wonderful efforts of the Chairman and members of the Preparatory Committee and the supporting committees that had a great impact on the establishment of our conference. Then Prof. Dr. Yasser Bassem Dhanoun, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the Conference, delivered his speech, which he began by thanking and praising the Almighty and praying for the best messengers, our master and prophet Muhammad, upon him the best prayer and complete delivery and welcoming the President of the University of Mosul, the attendees and honorable guests, pointing to the importance of the conference in overcoming natural and human obstacles and working to provide objective solutions and attention to youth energies and sustainable development and the extent of their contribution to developing solutions to societal obstacles, stressing the role of the conference in harnessing the law in all its branches to achieve Sustainable development through the legislation of laws and institution-building, giving importance to the role of the individual, research and studies to achieve all sustainable development goals Then Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, who in turn distributed certificates of appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Preparatory Committee, then the work of the opening session began under the chairmanship of Dr. Akram Mahmoud Hussein and Dr. Bushra Khaled Turki, rapporteur, which witnessed the presentation of two researches dealing with the impact of the violation of criminal equality on sustainable development and the role of UNESCO in strengthening the elements of peacebuilding in post-conflict societies, then the work of the second session began under the chairmanship of Dr. Sahar Muhammad Najib and Dr. Uday Muhammad Reda as rapporteur, which witnessed the presentation of a number of researches that dealt with the effectiveness of administrative wills in achieving sustainable development / Iraq as a model, the role of the legislative authority in achieving sustainable development, the role of environmental management in achieving sustainable development, the impact of the electoral system in achieving political development, the role of international law in promoting sustainable development, preventing violent extremism and sustainable administrative contracting.Then the work of the second session began under the chairmanship of Dr. Qabas Hassan Awad and Dr. Muhammad Nazim Daoud, rapporteur, which witnessed the presentation of a number of research papers that dealt with the legal protection of health from the damage of mobile phone towers and the relationship between environmental protection and sustainable development within the framework of the Paris Climate Agreement of 2015 and penal protection of non-renewable natural resources within the framework of sustainable development and scientific research and its role in achieving sustainable development / a comparative study and foreign direct investment and its impact on sustainable development, digital technology and human rights and environmental (between reality and hope in Iraq), then it was announced the end of the activities of the first day of the conference in the hope of meeting on the next day / Thursday, June 22, 2023, which will witness the holding of two scientific sessions in addition to a closing session to read the recommendations and distribute certificates of participation to the researchers.
