Higher Diploma in the Human Rights Law Branch on States’ Obligations in Achieving Sustainable Education/Study in the Provisions of Human Rights Law,,,
On Sunday, November 26, 2023, the Human Rights Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a higher diploma research on the obligations of states in achieving sustainable education/a study in the provisions of human rights law, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members. College Council and its teachers.
The research presented by researcher Riad Ali Ahmed in the branch of human rights law dealt with the right to education, which is considered one of the basic human rights and has a role in the advancement and development of nations, states and societies. It is a means of measuring the level of civilization in the state. Therefore, most constitutions stipulate it explicitly or implicitly and also include this right. A number of international conventions and agreements because of their importance in the life of the individual in particular and human societies in general.
The research aims to show that the right to education is considered one of the cultural rights/rights of the second generation, and this right finds its legal basis in its inclusion in the legal texts of international constitutions, agreements, and declarations.
The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Suhad Abdel-Jamal Abdel-Karim, the membership of the teacher was Dr. Ahmed Faris Idris, and the membership and supervision of the teacher was Dr. Fares Muhammad Hussein.
