The symposium witnessed the presentation of a number of research papers that addressed opinions and observations about… Teaching human rights and educational curricula and updating them in academic levels in Iraqi universities, the challenges they face and ways to improve them, as well as the vision of the UNESCO Chair in these curricula and ideas about developing the teaching of human rights, which is one of the basic foundations for building a prosperous society whose members enjoy all their rights under legal protection and provisions. Our college’s participation in the above workshop aims to demonstrate the importance of human rights within its scientific objectives, which resulted in the opening of the human rights law branch, which is the only specialized branch in Iraqi and Middle Eastern universities concerned with studying human rights guaranteed by national legislation and international instruments.
