PhD thesis in the private law _ College of law

The Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on the legal organization to restructure the troubled company on Sunday, July 25, 2021

Part of it was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ajyad Thamer Nayef, Head of the Private Law Branch, and a number of members of the College Council and its teachers

The thesis presented by the student Yasser Muhammad Ali in the private law branch dealt with companies as an important legal entity and an economic artery. It is one of the most important economic institutions that contribute to accumulating capital and investing it in commercial, industrial and service projects, in addition to operating it for manpower, but it may face many obstacles encountering its way and becomes an obstacle to achieving the purpose of its formation, which threatens its life with the end, as the company faces many risks that vary according to the different reasons leading to it

The study aims to develop a definition of restructuring as a legal system that includes a set of procedures aimed at correcting the troubled financial, administrative and technical conditions of the company according to rescue plans to prevent its declaration of bankruptcy. The base of protecting the troubled company by restructuring its activity in response to developments in the commercial and economic environment

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Amir Hassan Jassim and the membership of Dr. Mustafa Natiq Saleh, Dr. Bushra Khaled Turki, Dr. Medhat Saleh Ghaeb, Dr. Ayser Essam Daoud, membership and supervision of Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamed
