On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated in the 27th International Conference on Drugs, which was hosted by the University of Mosul and held by the Center for Psychological Research in cooperation with the Noon Center for Research and Specialized Studies. The conference witnessed governmental, university, scientific and academic attendance. In addition to representatives of society and its various segments, drug use and its health, psychological and social impact on the individual, family and society, with an explanation of its forms, the mechanism for dealing with it, means of combating it and rehabilitation programs for drug users. The conference also touched on a number of religious, health, societal, psychological and legal visions towards drugs, with reference to the importance of awareness and community partnership to eliminate these. The phenomenon, and the conference witnessed the honoring of its committees, researchers, and parties participating in this activity, including the Deanship of the College of Law, which was honored with a university shield and a certificate of appreciation, and which will seek to publish the participating research of a legal nature in the Al-Rafidain Law Journal issued by it, and the participation of our college in the work of the above conference comes within its endeavor in interaction and communication. With university activities and openness to society to clarify the legal position at the national and international levels on phenomena and pests that may pose a threat to the security and stability of society.
