Scientific workshop

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal al-Din al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision and follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, our college held on Monday, the third of June 2024, the scientific workshop entitled Constitutional and Legal Protection in the Face of Electronic Blackmail of Women, as the workshop had two main axes, the first of which was The role of the administrative apparatus in confronting electronic blackmail of women was addressed with explanation and clarification by Assistant Professor Dr. Nectal Ibrahim Abdel Rahman, and the second dealt with the role of Parliament in confronting electronic blackmail of women, which was addressed with clarification and explanation by Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Faleh Al-Sawaf. The workshop also touched on the role of the executive authority through its government agencies. Represented by the National Security Service, with an explanation of the role of the Security Office of the Second Complex in the Presidency of the University of Mosul, which contributes greatly to following up and addressing cases of electronic blackmail related to students and responding to them. The workshop also addressed the role of the House of Representatives in the importance of legislating the Cybercrime Law, which defines criminal behavior and increases the penalty. On this crime with the aim of improving the privacy of humans in general and women in particular and the role of that in creating a calm and stable society. The workshop witnessed the presence of a number of our university employees and students who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. This workshop comes Within the series of scientific, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year 2023-2024.
