Activities of the second day of the scientific conference of our college

The activities of the second day of the Fourth International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul will continue,,,
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and with the follow-up and presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and the members of the College Council and its teachers, it will continue at the College of Law at the University of Mosul on Thursday, July 11, 2024. The activities of the second day of the fourth international scientific conference, entitled The Role of Law in Sustaining Peace, Establishing Justice, and Establishing Strong Institutions, where the Hall of the Martyr Dr. Laila Abdullah Saeed witnessed the holding of two scientific sessions. The work of the first session was chaired by Professor Dr. Ajyad Thamer Nayef and Assistant Professor Dr. Dawlat Ahmed Abdullah as a rapporteur in which a number of The researchers conducted specialized scientific research that dealt with philosophical and intellectual perceptions of the concept of peacebuilding in the reality of contemporary international organization, the criminal confrontation of tribal customs that disturb societal peace, the role of peace and good governance in promoting peace and sustainable development, legal protection of construction workers from climate change, establishing justice and equity for victims of genocide, and international protection of the environment during conflicts. Armed forces and the role of governance in combating financial and administrative corruption in government institutions, while the second session was chaired by Professor Dr. Qabas Hassan Awad and Assistant Professor Dr. Fathi Ali Fathi as rapporteur, and witnessed the presentation of a number of researches that dealt with the role of constitutional texts in establishing criminal justice and the role of governance in achieving sustainable development for commercial companies. The constitutional organization of good governance between theory and practice – the Iraqi Constitution of 2005 as a model, the authority of regions to conclude treaties establishing sustainable development, the necessities of political reform and its impact on the future of women’s political participation in Iraq, the legal protection of personal rights and their role in establishing justice and societal security, and the right to environmental security and its role in achieving development. The first session was chaired by Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Ramadan Ali and Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Faleh Ahmed, rapporteur. It witnessed the presentation of a number of scientific research that dealt with an unconventional criminal policy to protect societal peace, error and its impact on the marriage contract, and the effectiveness of the precautionary principle. To protect the environment in achieving sustainable development, peaceful dialogue in the dialogue of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, judicial oversight is a guarantee of an independent and effective judiciary, delegated interventions, the right to self-defense in accordance with the rules of international law and internal legislation and its role in achieving development endeavors in Iraq, while the work of the second session was chaired by Professor Dr. Ayser Issam Daoud. Assistant Professor Dr. Raya Sami Younis was rapporteur, and witnessed the presentation of research that dealt with strengthening administrative democracy as a means to reach societal satisfaction, tools for the rule of law for post-conflict countries, and criminal protection of women from domestic violence between federal laws and the law of the Kurdistan region, the role of the health insurance law in achieving sustainable development, and the principle of justice and fairness in The work of the International Court of Justice and the relationship between environment and development and its impact on the protection of human rights and civil responsibility for groundwater pollution. The above scientific sessions witnessed a distinguished presence of researchers, academics, and those interested in legal and societal affairs, who asked many questions and inquiries about the research topics presented, which were answered in detail by the gentlemen. Researchers, and the conference sessions concluded with a final session chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Muhammad and Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ahmed Muhammad as rapporteur, which witnessed the reading of the recommendations that were submitted to the relevant authorities, in addition to the final statement of the conference and the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the chairs of the scientific sessions and their rapporteurs, researchers, and the heads of the conference committees and their members. Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, delivered a closing speech in which he expressed his deep appreciation to the participants in the conference, appreciating all the efforts made to establish this Mosul-Iraqi university scientific forum, which reflected the culture of the people of Mesopotamia, whose roots extended over thousands of years. This conference comes within a series of activities. Scientific, research, cultural and academic activities for our college during the current academic year 2023-2024.
