Master’s thesis in the private law branch on the protection of minors in private international law/comparative study,,,
On Monday, July 22, 2024, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the protection of minors in private international law, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its faculty.
The thesis submitted by researcher Sari Abdul Rahman Muhammad dealt with the protection of minors in private international law, which has become one of the necessities of the modern era and issues that require the legislation of pure legal texts in order to protect the minor, as is the case in the internal legislation of the laws of any country, as legislative and judicial protection is organized semi-automatically. Integrated, whether related to the legislative regulation of the rights of the minor or the judicial regulation to consider disputes related to the rights and obligations of the minor and those responsible for him as well as others.
The message aims to clarify that a minor is one who is incapable of proper understanding of matters, and under this title, from a jurisprudential and legal standpoint, there are two categories of natural persons. The first is the minor by legal deficiency and the second is the minor by legal deficiency.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Sultan Mahmoud Abdullah, with the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Badran Shakib Abdul Rahman, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Tawfiq Abdullah, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Muhammad.
