Scientific lectures on human trafficking and human organ crimes

In order to ensure scientific sobriety by the Deanship of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College and the members of the College Council, and for the purpose of achieving coherence and interaction between the theoretical scientific aspect and the practical application, our college hosted on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, a number of officers from the Iraqi Ministry of Interior who gave a number of lectures that dealt with the crime of kidnapping, its concept and elements, and the penalties stipulated under the provisions of penal laws and legislation, stating its causes, motives and motivations, and the period of time during which a person is considered kidnapped, with a review of facts and applications that took place on the ground, with a detailed explanation of the investigator’s work mechanism and his collection of evidence and proofs to reach the perpetrators, arrest them and bring them to justice to receive their just punishment. Lectures were also given on human trafficking crimes, with a detailed explanation of these crimes and their means, stating their goals and the penalties stipulated In addition to providing explanations of crimes of this type, with a statement of the measures taken by government agencies, then Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, gave a speech in which he praised the importance of the above lectures and their role in providing explanations of practical facts that contribute to enhancing the student’s understanding of his theoretical studies, extending his deep thanks to the honorable guests, appreciating their efforts in giving these lectures. The above lectures were also attended by a number of the college’s instructors and students, who directed a number of questions and inquiries about the topic, which were answered in detail by the lecturers. In conclusion, the College Deanship presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers. The above lectures come within the plans and programs of the College Deanship in preparing the student scientifically and practically to work in the legal field after graduating from the college.
