Specialized scientific lecture in commemoration of the Speicher martyrs,,,
In the interest of the Deanship of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College and the members of the College Council, to disseminate legal standards and foundations on facts and crimes with societal dimensions that bear a local and international nature, and for the purpose of shedding light on the victims of the Speicher crime committed by the terrorist organization ISIS and the position of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, Dr. Ahmed Faris Idris / Human Rights Law Department gave specialized legal lectures on Sunday, December 1, 2024, to undergraduate students / morning and evening in our college, in which he discussed commemorating the Speicher martyrs and confronting violent extremism by addressing in general the painful events witnessed by Iraq and the martyrs it provided, including the martyrs of the Speicher crime committed by the criminal terrorist organization ISIS, with a statement of the position of international law and national law and the necessity of holding the perpetrators of the above crime accountable and prosecuting The fugitives among them and considering it an international crime that falls within the crimes against humanity and genocide. The lecture also stressed the importance of caring for the families of the martyrs of this crime, and so that the blood of the martyrs does not go in vain, it is necessary to pursue the criminals who have been arrested and bring down just retribution on them, while pursuing and following up on those who have fled among them and arresting them in loyalty to the blood of the most generous of us all who sacrificed their pure blood so that the flag of our Iraq remains flying high, embracing the sky of the country of civilization and humanity, the sky of our proud Iraq.
