Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at our college, in cooperation with the Nineveh Police Command / Cyber ​​Security Division, held a training workshop on Thursday, April 10, 2025, entitled “Protecting Job Data from Cyber ​​Attacks.” The workshop began with a speech by Professor Dr. Muhammad Siddiq Muhammad Abdullah, Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, in which he welcomed the distinguished attendees of researchers, academics, and students, appreciating the distinguished efforts made in organizing this workshop, which is of great importance at both the individual and societal levels. The scientific session then began, moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Abdul Sattar Jabr, Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit. Several research papers were presented, addressing phishing, its concept, types, mechanisms, methods, and how to combat it. The workshop also included a presentation on security. Cyber ​​security and file protection from vulnerabilities during administrative work, as well as clarifying the goal of protection with reference to the axes on which cyber security is based, its purpose and controls, with a practical presentation from the Nineveh Governorate Police Command on how to confront cyber attacks, emphasizing the importance of the victim reporting to government agencies. The attendees directed many questions and inquiries about the workshop topic, which were answered in detail by those in charge. In conclusion, the Deanship of the College honored the researchers with certificates of appreciation in appreciation of their efforts in holding this activity, which comes within a series of scientific, research, cultural and student activities for our college during the current academic year 2024-2025.
