workshop on updating voter data. On Monday, May 26, 2025, the College of Law at the University of Mosul hosted a number of employees from the Independent High Electoral Commission in Nineveh Governorate. The lectures addressed electoral registration, updating voter data, and issuing electoral cards, enabling voters to exercise their right to vote and choose their representatives in local councils and parliament. The lecturers also provided an explanation of the data contained in the electoral card. They also noted that registration in the electoral register is available to citizens year-round, and clarified the cases in which citizens are permitted to update their data. They also outlined the procedures followed in the event of voter death or loss of their biometric electoral card, which is valid for life. The attendees then asked numerous questions and inquiries about the workshop, which were answered in detail by the organizers. Finally, the Deanship of the College honored its guests, members of the Independent High Electoral Commission, with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts in organizing this workshop, which is part of a series. The scientific, research, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year 2024-2025.
