Master’s thesis in the private law branch on legal considerations in civil contracts / a comparative study,,
,On Thursday, June 18, 2025, the Private Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on “Legal Considerations in Civil Contracts: A Comparative Study.” Professor Abdul Aziz Ramadan Ali, Dean of the College, and several members of the College Council and faculty members attended the discussion.
The thesis, presented by student Riyad Misbah Daoud in the Private Law Department, addressed legal considerations primarily related to the controls that the contractual process must comply with, in accordance with the legislator’s will. This will, which contains these legal considerations in a contract, regardless of its nature—whether it relates to ownership, benefits, or material actions—can be considered a regulating factor for transactions and contractual freedom in the field of contractual legal action, which in turn is the most important source of obligation.
The thesis aims to demonstrate that the concept of legal considerations is defined as an existing and confirmed phenomenon that accompanied the concept of the protectorate state and is committed to formulating and establishing social policy that aligns with the developments experienced by society.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Ibrahim Antar Fathi, and included Assistant Professor Dr. Raeda Mohammed Mahmoud and Assistant Professor Dr. Nizar Hazem Mohammed, with the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Habib Idris Issa.
