The Dean of the College of Law at the University of Mosul chaired today an extensive meeting with the editorial staff of the peer-reviewed Al-Rafidain for Law Journal to review the plan for developing the journal’s operations and enhancing its scholarly presence through its newly created electronic platform based on the Open Journal Systems (OJS).

The meeting discussed mechanisms for activating the journal’s new website, which represents a qualitative leap in scientific publishing management, with a focus on:

Training technical and academic staff on using the Open Journal Systems for managing editing, peer review, and publication.

Standardizing editorial guidelines in line with international requirements to ensure the regular issuance of volumes.

Developing peer review and publication policies to improve the impact factor and research metrics.

The Dean affirmed that “these updates are an investment in the quality of scientific research and will contribute to enhancing the journal’s ranking locally and internationally,” noting the provision of full support to transform Al-Rafidain for Law into a leading platform for publishing scholarly output in the legal field.
