On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, a master’s thesis by student Hisham Kazim Khadir was discussed at the College of Law. The thesis, entitled:
(National Security Requirements in Light of International Human Rights Law), briefly addressed national security requirements in countries and the preservation and protection of human rights, as stipulated in international and national conventions. It aimed to examine ways to achieve a balance between national security requirements and the protection and preservation of human rights during exceptional circumstances.
The examination committee consisted of:

· Prof. Dr. Suhaib Khaled Jassim (Member)
· Asst. Dr. Saad Salem Sultan (Member)
· Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Ramadan Al-Khattabi (Member and Supervisor)
The thesis was approved after an extensive scholarly discussion. The committee commended the student’s efforts and research contributions in addressing a critical issue at the legal and political levels.
