Two lecturers from the Universities of Mosul and Kirkuk win the silver award at the second annual international competition conference.

Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, and with the broad participation of ministries, government agencies, professional unions and syndicates, and representatives of the private sector, two lecturers, Professor Dr. Ayser Issam Daoud from the College of Law, University of Mosul, and Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Hashim Hamdoun from the College of Law and Political Science, University of Kirkuk, received the second (silver) award for their research entitled:
“Legislative Policies to Achieve Market Justice: A Study of the Relationship between Competition Protection and Consumer Rights.”
This award was among only three research awards allocated to academic research submitted by professors from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The conference was organized as part of the activities of the Second Annual International Competition Conference, organized by the Competition and Antitrust Affairs Council of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The conference was widely attended by representatives of ministries, government agencies, and the private sector, in addition to a select group of experts, academics, civil society organizations, and international bodies concerned with competition affairs.
In this context, the two winners expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Ramadan Al-Khattabi, for his support and encouragement to participate in this prestigious research competition. They emphasized that this achievement represents an incentive for further scientific and research contributions in the service of higher education in Iraq.
