Discussion of a Master’s thesis at the College of Law, University of Mosul

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the College of Law, University of Mosul, the Master’s thesis of student Abdulwahab Fawaz Abdul Adheeb, entitled “The Legal System of Chambers of Commerce – A Comparative Study,” was discussed.

This thesis is an in-depth study of the legal system of chambers of commerce as institutions representing the interests of merchants and regulating economic activity. The researcher examined the legislative framework of chambers of commerce in Iraq in comparison with several other countries, clarifying their administrative structure, legal jurisdictions, and their role in registering trade names and regulating the commercial register.

The study aimed to demonstrate the extent of the contribution of chambers of commerce to supporting the national economy and enhancing the business environment in a legally organized manner, focusing on analyzing their functions and jurisdictions and ways to enhance their effectiveness within the commercial environment.
