The Volunteer Work Unit at the College of Law, University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the University of Mosul Presidency/Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific workshop entitled:

“Criminal Liability for Drug Use.”

This event was held within the framework of the National Security Strategy program, aiming to raise legal awareness and highlight the criminal consequences of drug use and the risks it poses to individuals and society.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Younis Hadi, who reviewed the legal frameworks governing the liability of drug users and the procedures followed in addressing this phenomenon. She also discussed the most important legislative challenges related to drugs within the context of Iraqi law.

The workshop was held in the Applied Court Hall on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025, with the participation of a group of faculty members and students interested in legal matters.

These activities are part of the College of Law’s efforts to promote legal culture and strengthen community awareness of issues with security and legal dimensions.
