Training Seminar

The University Psychological Counseling Division, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department/Sustainable Development Unit, held a training seminar entitled “Drugs: Between Awareness and Legal Responsibility Towards a Citizen Who Protects the Homeland” on Monday, November 27, 2025, as part of the launch of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week program for 2025. The seminar featured presentations by Brigadier General Abi Hashim Aziz, Director General of the Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Izzat Fadhil. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Faris Idris. The seminar addressed a range of topics, including drug-related cases referred to the Directorate of Drugs, the mechanisms for handling them, and the penalties imposed on offenders. The seminar saw active participation from students who posed questions and inquiries to the presenters. This seminar is part of the guidance programs undertaken by the University Psychological Counseling Division to combat and prevent drug use.
