Field Visit to the Northern Customs Directorate

A number of faculty members from the Financial Legislation course at the College of Law, University of Mosul, organized a field visit to the Northern Customs Directorate, accompanied by second-year students in the morning program. This visit was part of the academic activities aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practice.

During the visit, the students learned about the mechanism for imposing customs tariffs and the procedures for issuing manifests. They also reviewed the steps involved in filing customs claims and the legal stages involved. The delegation toured the various departments of the directorate to learn about the nature of each department’s work and its role in regulating customs operations and protecting public funds.

This visit reflects the college’s commitment to enhancing the practical skills of its students and preparing them to be guardians of financial law based on sound scientific principles, thus contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
