Master’s Thesis Defense

On Monday, December 22, 2025, the Master’s thesis entitled

(Crimes Affecting Religious Sentiment – ​​A Comparative Study) by student Ibrar Mahdi Saleh Mar’i Al-Dulaimi was defended.

The thesis examined crimes affecting religious sentiment as a fundamental component of religious freedom, demonstrating the extent to which it must be legally protected. It also aimed to clarify the legal concept of religious sentiment and the limits of its protection under comparative criminal law.

The thesis was supervised by Professor Dr. Hashim Muhammad Ahmad Al-Juhayshi, and the examining committee consisted of:

• Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Fadhil Saeed – Member

• Professor Dr. Anas Mahmoud Khalaf – Member

At the conclusion of the defense, the committee commended the scholarly effort invested in the thesis and the importance of the topic for its impact on strengthening the legal protection of religious sentiment within comparative criminal legislation. It is very toxic to the university website.
