Summer Training for College of Law Students in the Kurdistan Region

The Supervisory Committee on Summer Training for students of the College of Law – University of Mosul, for both morning and evening studies, has commenced its field visits through supervisory teams to follow up on the progress of students’ practical training at host institutions.

The visits included the Presidency of the Erbil Court of Appeal, the Duhok Court of Appeal, the Duhok Land Registration Department, and the Sumel Court of First Instance, which hosted college students within the summer training program. This was done to assess students’ commitment to attendance, ensure the regularity of the training process, and verify the achievement of the intended scientific and practical objectives.

During its meetings with officials of the host institutions, the committee emphasized the importance of summer training in developing students’ legal skills and enhancing the practical application of the theoretical knowledge they have acquired, thereby contributing to the preparation of legal professionals who possess practical experience alongside academic qualifications.

These visits come within the framework of the Deanery of the College of Law’s keenness to follow up on the implementation of the summer training program and to provide an appropriate training environment that enables students to gain practical experience and direct engagement with the reality of work in judicial institutions and government departments, which will positively reflect on their academic and professional careers.
