On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed the Master’s thesis entitled “The Legal Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Applications from the Perspective of Digital Human Rights”, submitted by the student Omar Hamadeh Ali, under the supervision of Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Fares Idris.

The thesis examined the legal framework governing artificial intelligence applications from the perspective of digital human rights, and sought to analyze and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of international and regional legal frameworks and comparative national legislation in providing legal protection against potential violations arising from the use of artificial intelligence applications. It also aimed to identify legal deficiencies and gaps that may hinder the achievement of effective protection of rights and freedoms in the digital environment.
