College of Law Discusses Doctoral Dissertation on the Mediation Contract in Real Estate Sales

The College of Law at the University of Mosul witnessed, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the defense of a doctoral dissertation titled “The Mediation Contract in Real Estate Sales – A Comparative Study”, submitted by researcher Naktal Saleh Hussein, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Duha Mohammed Saeed Al-Nu’man.

The study aimed to establish a comprehensive legal framework for the mediation contract in real estate sales, and to address the practical problems facing property transfer, in a way that contributes to protecting the rights of the contracting parties and enhancing stability in real estate transactions, in addition to clarifying the legal status of the real estate broker and his rights and obligations.

The examination committee consisted of:

  • Professor Dr. Dhanoon Younis Mohammed – Chairperson.

  • Professor Dr. Habib Idris Isa – Member.

  • Professor Dr. Nizar Hazem Mohammed – Member.

  • Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Taher Qassim – Member.

  • Associate Professor Dr. Wisam Abdul Mohammed – Member.

  • Professor Dr. Duha Mohammed Saeed Al-Nu’man – Member and Supervisor.

This defense comes within the framework of the College of Law’s commitment to supporting rigorous scientific research and encouraging specialized legal studies that contribute to the development of the legislative system and address emerging legal issues.
