The College of Law – University of Mosul announces the opening of registration for students wishing to participate in the Eighth International Student Commercial Arbitration Competition, as part of the College’s commitment to developing students’ skills and enhancing their capabilities in the field of commercial arbitration and dispute resolution.

The competition aims to develop students’ skills in commercial arbitration and dispute resolution through practical training, reviewing the case at hand, preparing legal memoranda, formulating arguments, and delivering oral pleadings in Arabic before arbitration tribunals, contributing to the preparation of legal cadres capable of competing in international forums.

The training and competition period is scheduled to begin from September 2026 until the end of April 2027, in accordance with the program prepared by the preparatory committee.

Application Requirements:

• The applicant must have passed the first round of the academic year 2025/2026 and be continuing their studies at the college.

• Undergo a special interview to determine the applicant’s suitability to represent the student team.

• Possess a strong personality.

• Have a fluent and eloquent linguistic style.

• Be knowledgeable in general legal information, particularly in the field of commercial arbitration.

• Possess the ability to persuade and plead in the case at hand, with the capacity for analysis, interpretation, and deduction.

• Proficiency in English.

• Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office programs.

• Full commitment to all training stages; otherwise, the participant will be disqualified.

• Seriousness in participation; otherwise, the participant will be disqualified.

• Commitment to working in a team spirit and cooperating with team members.
