Debate – College of law

On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the legal system of exchange companies / a comparative analytical study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College and a number of members of the College Council and its teachers.
The thesis presented by the student Anas Faris Abdel Sattar in the private law branch dealt with exchange companies, which are considered among the modern companies in the Iraqi commercial reality, and which provide services to all people and to merchants in particular, and witness a demand for them because of their speed in dealing, the simplicity of their procedures, and the low cost they charge for the service they provide.
The thesis aims to explain the concept of exchange companies, their legal nature and characteristics, and compare them with other companies. It also showed that the merger method is the method adopted at the present time in Iraq when establishing exchange companies by merging a specific number of mediation companies to form joint-stock or limited exchange companies according to the number of companies involved in the merger. .
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Nateq Saleh, with membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Essam Daoud, Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Hashim Hamdoun, and membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Ibrahim Ali.
