Training Workshop _ College of law

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, the Human Rights Law Branch in our college, in cooperation with the Pao Organization, held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, its training workshop tagged The Role of Universities in Combating Violent extremism, where Dr. Suhaib Khaled Jassim, one of the teachers of the Human Rights Law branch, gave scientific lectures on the axes of which dealt with the promotion of peace and coexistence by empowering and engaging community mechanisms with local authorities and raising community awareness to prevent violent extremism. It also witnessed the training of a number of college students on how to combat violent extremism with Statement of its concept, components and causes. The workshop also showed the importance of adopting curricula in communication, dialogue and discussion to resolve the conflict and the need to activate student activities and hold seminars and meetings that allow them to practice expression, present their issues and problems and work to solve them. With the need to separate political thought from sound academic life in universities, The workshop witnessed a distinguished student presence, who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. This workshop comes within the series of scientific, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year 2022-2023.
