Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and with the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Ajyad Thamer Nayef, Head of the Private Law Branch, the above branch held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, its scientific workshop tagged the activities of Islamic banks and their impact On trade and investment, where it dealt with Islamic banks, which are one of the most important financial institutions in any country due to the activities and services they provide to their clients, represented by speculation, participation, manufacturing and their impact on development and investment. The work of Islamic banks in Iraq, the duties of the Sharia Compliance Department in Islamic banks, its role in financing micro-projects to achieve sustainable development, the responsibility of the Sharia Supervision Board, the role of the Sharia Advisory Committee in providing Sharia advice, the role of Islamic banks in financing investment projects, Islamic financing formulas and their risks, and the Zakat Fund system in banks Islamic and the duties of the Sharia Board in Islamic banks, financing by Istisna’a in Islamic banks, Takaful insurance, and types of risks in Islamic banks. Appreciation certificates were distributed to the researchers, the chairman and members of the Preparatory Committee, and this workshop comes within a series of scientific, cultural and student activities for the private law branch in our college during the current academic year 2022-2023.
