Workshop Entitled: “Poultry Farming and Project Management”

On the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Career Development, Employment, and Alumni Follow‑up Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a workshop on Monday, February 9, 2026, entitled “Poultry Farming and Project Management.”

The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Finar Ablahad Ishaq from the Department of Microbiology. It introduced fifth‑year students to the fundamentals of poultry farming and project management, including selecting an appropriate site, proper nutrition, health care, and disease prevention methods. The workshop also covered administrative and economic aspects of poultry projects, emphasizing the importance of organization and hygiene to ensure project success. The session was marked by active participation, with attendees posing a variety of questions that were thoroughly addressed.

This workshop is part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to promote a culture of sustainable development, in alignment with Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 15 (Life on Land) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
