Workshop Entitled: “The State Employees Discipline Law”

In accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al‑Aboudi, and as part of the development and training programs for newly appointed staff, the College of Veterinary Medicine – Legal Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, organized a workshop on Sunday, February 15, 2026, entitled “The State Employees Discipline Law.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Mahmoud Awad Ali, Head of the Legal Affairs Division. It aimed to shed light on the legal framework governing professional conduct, clarify the rights and duties of public employees, and explain disciplinary violations and legal accountability mechanisms under the applicable laws. The workshop also addressed the practical dimensions of the Discipline Law and its role in promoting institutional integrity and reinforcing principles of professional commitment within the academic and administrative work environment.
The session witnessed productive engagement from participants through discussions and contributions that enriched legal understanding and enhanced awareness of the importance of adhering to regulations and instructions.
This workshop is part of a series of training and development sessions organized by the College for newly appointed staff, with the goal of strengthening their technical and teaching skills and enabling them to perform their academic duties in a manner aligned with the requirements of modern education and digital transformation.
It also falls within the College’s efforts to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education).
