Training Course: Methods of Drug Administration and Handling of Laboratory Animals

The College of Veterinary Medicine – Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology held a training course titled “Methods of Drug Administration and Handling of Laboratory Animals”, which will run from March 29–31, 2026.

The course aims to:

  • Introducing participants to the scientific and humane principles of handling laboratory animals
  • Guide participants in selecting the appropriate laboratory‑animal model according to the nature and type of scientific research
  • Familiarize attendees with common problems in laboratory‑animal husbandry, methods for calculating drug doses, and techniques for administering medications to these animals
  • Teach proper methods for breeding and reproduction of laboratory animals

 

This course contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well‑Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
