The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses a Higher Diploma Research on the Use of Big Data Analytics

At the University of Mosul – College of Administration and Economics – Department of Management Information Systems, a Higher Diploma research thesis was discussed on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, in Discussion Hall No. (1). The research was entitled: Employing Big Data Analytics According to the Views of Managers at the Salah al-Din Governorate Office,” submitted by the student Issa Khalaf Ahmed Al-Jubouri.

The study aimed to identify how big data analytics, through its dimensions of volume, velocity, variety, value, and veracity, is employed at the Salah al-Din Governorate Office, as well as to clarify the nature of the relationships among these dimensions.

The study reached several conclusions, most notably the existence of a statistically significant correlation between the dimensions of big data analytics in the investigated office, reflecting the importance of adopting this approach in supporting decision-making and improving institutional performance.
