The Industrial Management Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses a Master’s Thesis on the Role of Sustainable Innovation in Improving Operational Performance Quality.

The Industrial Management Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the Master’s thesis titled “The Role of Sustainable Innovation in Improving Operational Performance Quality,” presented by the student Saif Muhammad Saleh Adham Al-Akeedi, on Sunday, September 13, 2026 in Discussion Hall No. 1.
The study aimed to test the impact of sustainable innovation on improving the quality of operational performance at the Gas Power Plant in Nineveh Governorate/Mosul. It sought to diagnose the extent to which sustainable innovation practices are adopted, assess the reality of operational performance quality, and analyze the relationship between them. Additionally, it aimed to identify the most influential dimensions and the obstacles hindering implementation, ultimately offering practical recommendations that contribute to boosting performance and improving operational efficiency.
The study concluded with several key findings, most notably the existence of a statistically significant positive correlation and impact between sustainable innovation and operational performance quality. Furthermore, adopting sustainable innovation practices contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, reducing errors, and improving output quality. The results also indicated that the economic dimension had the greatest impact, followed by the social dimension, then the technological/innovative dimension, and finally the environmental dimension.
