College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Holds an Academic Meeting to Organize Study Leave Plans for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held an expanded meeting today, Thursday, 29 January 2026, in Hall (1), chaired by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khaled. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Graduate Studies Division, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ahmed Al-Nuaimi, along with the heads of the college’s academic departments.
During the meeting, the study leave file was discussed in light of the most recent official letter issued by the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the relevant presidential directives. Particular emphasis was placed on the third paragraph of the letter concerning the needs plan for PhD studies exclusively.
The meeting stressed the importance of ensuring that study leave plans remain within the narrowest possible limits and are aligned with the actual needs of the college, while giving due consideration to key scientific specializations that serve the community, in preparation for their inclusion in the 2026–2027 academic year.
It was also decided that the final study leave plans will be completed at the beginning of next week, in accordance with ministerial regulations and instructions, and in a manner that achieves a balance between developing academic staff and ensuring the continuity of the educational process at the college.
