Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul Discusses a PhD Dissertation on Organizational Diplomacy and Organizational Embeddedness

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul – Department of Business Administration, held on Tuesday (April 28, 2026), in Discussion Hall No. (1), the defense of a PhD dissertation entitled:
“Organizational Diplomacy and Its Role in Organizational Embeddedness: The Mediating Role of Perceived Organizational Support – An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees in the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Province”
by the student: Omar Waad Sultan Mahmoud Al-Shammati.
The dissertation aimed to examine the role of organizational diplomacy as an independent variable, with its dimensions (listening, negotiation, persuasion, and conflict management), in enhancing organizational embeddedness as a dependent variable, with its dimensions (organizational fit, organizational links, and organizational sacrifice), through testing the mediating role of perceived organizational support in the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh.
The key findings of the study include:
A statistically significant positive correlation and impact between organizational diplomacy and organizational embeddedness.
The full mediating role of perceived organizational support in strengthening this relationship.
The contribution of these variables to enhancing employee stability and increasing their levels of commitment within the organization.
