Enhancing Academic Excellence and Curriculum Development Highlight the Meeting of the Industrial Management Department Council at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul

The Council of the Industrial Management Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ragheed Ibrahim Ismail, and attended by the department’s faculty members.

​The meeting was convened in light of the outcomes of the 20th session of the College of Administration and Economics Council. That prior session was held in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul-Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, and was chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, emphasizing the importance of supporting the scientific journey and enhancing academic and research excellence.

​The Department Council discussed several scientific and organizational directives. Most notably:

  • ​Supporting scientific publishing within Scopus repositories.
  • ​Following up on academic promotion procedures.
  • ​Discussing mechanisms for adopting the English language in postgraduate programs and certain undergraduate courses within the Bologna Process.

​Furthermore, the meeting addressed developing curricula to align with modern specialization requirements, particularly after integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and English language proficiency. The council also emphasized developing the skills of the teaching staff during the upcoming summer vacation, and discussed the guidelines for organizing theses and dissertations to contribute to enhancing the quality of academic and research outcomes.
