The Bologna Process and Academic Implementation Mechanisms: Focus of a Scientific Meeting at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, a scientific meeting was held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in Hall No. 1. The meeting was chaired by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khaled, and attended by the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Zuhair Abdul-Qader.

​The meeting was attended by the heads of scientific departments and the chairs of the examination committees for the first and second academic stages, which are subject to the implementation of the Bologna Process across all departments within the college. During the session, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sumaidaie, the Bologna Process implementation trainer, provided a detailed explanation based on the instructions and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. His presentation addressed the mechanisms for mid-term and final examinations, the accurate transfer and logging of grades within the system, as well as solutions for several technical obstacles related to the implementation.

​The gathering also featured scientific discussions that focused on the importance of the proper application of the Bologna Process, and the unification of efforts among the scientific departments to ensure that academic requirements are completed with precision and efficiency. This aims to enhance the quality of educational outcomes and elevate academic performance.

​This meeting comes as part of the ongoing directives of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul to keep pace with modern educational systems, and to consolidate the concepts of quality and academic accreditation in line with international standards.
