An Academic Partnership with State Institutions to Shape the Career Future of Graduates.. The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Holds Its Industrial Advisory Council Meeting

The Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the Industrial Advisory Council meeting, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, and attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid. The meeting saw the participation of members of the expert consultant committees from state departments, scientific committees, and curriculum modernization committees within the scientific departments, as well as the heads of the Quality Assurance and the Studies and Planning units.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of both Mr. Mahmoud Mustafa Ali, Director of Accounts at the Mosul Municipality, and Mr. Waleed Khidr Wali, Director of Accounts at the Nineveh Water Directorate, in their capacity as members of the expert consultant committees supporting the development of academic programs and linking them to labor market needs.
The Council discussed several strategic areas aimed at upgrading the educational process and enhancing the quality of its outcomes, foremost among which were modernizing and developing curricula to keep pace with scientific and professional advancements, alongside strengthening integration between theoretical and practical aspects to help develop students’ skills and prepare them more efficiently for professional life.
The meeting also addressed mechanisms for expanding field training and qualification programs by enhancing cooperation with government institutions and beneficiary entities, thereby providing qualitative training opportunities that contribute to raising the readiness of graduates and developing their professional capabilities in line with labor market requirements.
This meeting comes within the orientation of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul aimed at consolidating partnerships with government institutions and beneficiary sectors, and developing its academic programs in accordance with quality and academic accreditation standards, thus enhancing the college’s standing and leadership in preparing scientific and professional competencies.
