The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses a Doctoral Dissertation on Utilizing Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Sustainable Manufacturing

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, a doctoral dissertation titled: “The Impact Relationship of Agile Quality Management and Sustainable Manufacturing Practices: The Moderating Role of Artificial Intelligence – A Field Study at the State Company for Electrical and Electronic Industries / Baghdad,” submitted by the student Ahmed Basim Hassan, in Discussion Hall No. (1) at the college.
The dissertation aimed to test the moderating role of artificial intelligence in the relationship between agile quality management and sustainable manufacturing practices, through a field study at the State Company for Electrical and Electronic Industries in Baghdad, as well as to demonstrate the extent to which smart technologies contribute to enhancing the efficiency of production processes and supporting sustainable industrial trends.
The dissertation reached a set of important conclusions, most notably that artificial intelligence plays a pivotal role in enhancing the impact of agile quality management on sustainable manufacturing practices, as the deployment of smart technologies and algorithms contributes to raising the efficiency of production processes, improving product quality, and better meeting customer needs, in addition to supporting the organization’s environmental performance and strengthening its ability to achieve sustainability goals.
